Budgeting for a wedding is one of the biggest headaches for couples, right?

This is the one day, you want to get everything you want without a question but soon you realize that you can't afford all of the things.

How do you go about managing effective strategies to stay "within" budget?

1. Know how much you can afford overall

2. Learn what is most important to you on your big day and spend the majority of your budget on your top 3 (venue, band, photo/ video team, food, dress, decor, etc)

3. Make compromises and be realistic

4. Repurpose decorations from your ceremony

5. Skip the favors

6. Create a payment plan and remind yourself of all upcoming expenses

7. Go digital with your invitations

It's easy to spend, spend, spend but do know that saving on your wedding doesn't mean skipping on important things on your wedding day.

When I work with my couples, I typically save them over $5,000 (often more) just by providing them with alternative solutions and keeping an eye out for proper contracts without the fine print.
